The design for this project was guided by the concept of opening up this new family home onto the garden to create a private retreat for the family. This new build accommodates an office at the front of the property, creating a private entrance for clients and a separate entry for the family, thereby seamlessly merging the two functions of the property. The double garage to the front sits behind timber battens, creating a lightweight plinth for the first floor to cantilever off.

Internally, the house seamlessly joins different functions that take place inside the home. The rumpus allows for the children to have their own entertainment space, whilst the living areas can provide for a fantastic entertaining zone that opens onto the garden. The swimming pool extends towards the property, allowing for the water to reflect in the open alfresco, bringing a more tranquillity into the area.
