Contemporary residence harmoniously integrated into the hilly rural landscape of New Zealand, featuring a thoughtful design that promotes natural flow and utilises local materials to enhance its connection with the surrounding countryside.

Located in hilly rural New Zealand farmland, this design encapsulates our design philosophy and was the initial test piece in how a house should function processionally in various circumstances. From occupants to guests, the way the house is planned allows for a natural flow into each space. Nestled into the dramatic landscape, this house is perched high above the valley below, taking in the views of the surrounding countryside. The materials used reflect the local timber and stone from the area, helping the house become a part of its topography.
